I am a textile artist and designer located in Atlanta, Georgia. I will receive my BFA in Textiles + Surface Design at Kennesaw State University in December of 2024.
My art and research focuses on traditional methods, seeking to understand habits of the human condition. By exposing myself to new experiences through travel, the art I produce is raw yet elegant. I believe all things have a story to tell and I think there is a true beauty in old items that have lived a life of their own. I take this stance even when sourcing materials such as cotton, wool, and silk– using secondhand materials and even making materials from scratch myself.
Though my primary focus and line of work explores design processes and color theory. I have varied experience in Product Development which has allowed me to expand my knowledge of design styles and corporate operations.
I’ve had work featured at the Smith Gilbert Gardens, the Marcus Jewish Community Center, and at the American Sewing Guild.
